NURIA VALLES

Núria Vallès works and lives in Barcelona, Spain.
For three decades but becomed since 2019 a realist botanical painter with watercolour.
With a natural talent for drawing, a fine sense of colours and love for nature, she finds in flowers and plants her preferred subject.
Her work can be called Botanical Art since most of the times, it has not scientific purpose. Often damaged or dry parts of the plants are depicted. Other times it is show the vase with water, being the composición near to still life or vanitas because it shows an ephimeral subject in its fragility. In this way she brings her own personal reading of realism in the composition and details.
With her subject, plants and flowers, the artist wants to highlight the beauty and, at the same time, fragility of the planet.
