- Can you tell me about your background and how it influences your work?
I have spent most of my life living abroad in over thirty different countries. This exposure has given me a deep appreciation for ancient cultures and religions. I draw upon my memories and experiences as starting points for my compositions, incorporating mythologies and symbolism from the cultures I have studied.
- Which artists have had the greatest influence on your work?
I have a deep admiration for Renaissance masters and dark aesthetics, as well as contemporary pop surrealist artists.

- Where do you get your inspiration?
My initial inspiration often begins as a mental collage. I then create a sketch that fuses elements of mythology and symbolism—drawing influences from Chinese, Greek, and Egyptian sources, ultimately presenting the composition through a surrealistic lens.
- Describe how important art is for society.
Art is essential for society; it has been the core of humanity and expression from the beginning of time. It brings people together and relays stories. Storytelling is the oldest form of language and a primary means of cultural transmission.
- How do you define success as an artist?
I believe an artist is successful if the art produced accurately depicts the feelings or imagery it was intended to convey.
- Does art help you in other areas of life?
Yes, painting improves my focus and concentration.
- How do you develop your artistic skills?
I received formal training at universities in the USA, Spain, and China. Additionally, I studied traditional Tibetan Thangka painting under a master in Lhasa, Tibet. I constantly challenge myself to develop new skills and refine existing ones.
- How can your work influence social problems?
My artwork isn’t directly political, but it aims to draw upon common points in ancient cultures and between religions to make a statement of unity and common origin.
- How do you navigate the professional art industry?
I participate in numerous exhibitions and art fairs. I am currently represented by a gallery in the United States, and I plan to open my own art gallery in the future.
- What parts of professional art do you like most and least?
I love meeting other artists. I was never good at selling; I hope the art just sells itself.
- What do critics and collectors say about your work?
Many people have expressed their appreciation for my color palettes and mysterious symbolism.
- What factors influence the price of your work?
Scale, medium and complexity determine the price.
- What are your ultimate career goals?
I hope to open my own art gallery.
- How do you manage work-life balance as an artist?
My schedule is quite full, but I always find time to exercise, go running in the park, do yoga, and meditate.

Determination is what defines an artist.
