CAROLINE HANNY

Caroline Hanny lives in Saint Raphaël, France. Born in 1974
She has been practicing photography and drawing since her childhood, quickly becoming passionate about fashion photography, she decided to complete her passion by studying fashion design and model making at the ESMOD Internationale school in Paris. She worked for 20 years in the fashion sector alongside her work as an artist. We always feel the world of fashion in his various creations. She is multidisciplinary, she practices performance art, photography, textile art, drawings and mixed media.
In her works, she questions contemporary animism. She creates hybrid forms inhabited by spirits. The fabric is a strong element which, through its metaphysical and symbolic dimension, becomes an object of worship to communicate with the spirits and mark their presence. His works are both abstract and symbolic.
Her creative process is done in several stages, the artist cuts out shapes from fashion magazines, composes a shape like large totems or talismans, then photographs the whole thing, and she ends up painting on these photographs on her computer.
